The Cycle Kitchen: Seedy Cookie-Dough Stuffed Dates
Because cycle syncing is allowed to be fun
Okay, ladies, this recipe will be your new go-to during your follicular phase. I promise you will thank me after you try these. I first spotted these cookie-dough stuffed dates on The Daily Balance and instantly knew I had to try them. We share the same obsession with using dates to support hormone health, so it felt like fate. Of course, I couldn’t help but add my own seed cycling twist, making them extra supportive for the follicular phase when your body is ready to build momentum again. A sweet treat that doubles as hormone health, yeah, sign me up.
Follicular Phase 101
The follicular phase is like your body’s reset complete button. After your period, estrogen begins to rise, energy returns, and your body is primed for creation, whether that’s new ideas, movement, or simply moving forward with more ease. Supporting your hormones here keeps that energy steady and prevents estrogen from spiking too high too quickly.
Dates → fiber to support estrogen metabolism, iron to replenish after your period, natural sugars + antioxidants for steady energy, and minerals like magnesium + potassium to ease bloating and support muscle relaxation.
Flax seeds → rich in lignans that bind to excess estrogen, helping keep levels balanced as they rise.
Pumpkin seeds → loaded with zinc and magnesium, supporting ovarian function, hormone production, and the natural energy surge of this phase.
Together, they give your body exactly what it needs during the follicular window, fueling your cycle and satisfying your sweet tooth all at once.
