Homemade Chocolate Reese's Eggs
Your hormone-friendly candy fix
Halloween might be over, but the sugar cravings never really are. And honestly, I’m not here to tell you not to eat candy. I’m here to show you how to make candy that doesn’t wreck your hormones in the process.
Traditional peanut butter cups are full of bad oils, refined sugar, and ingredients you can’t pronounce. These? They’ve got six real ones.
What you’ll need:
½ cup almond butter
½ cup peanut butter
1 tbsp almond or oat flour
2 tbsp maple syrup
½ cup dark chocolate (70% or higher)
1 tbsp coconut oil
Flaky salt, for topping
How to make them:
Mix almond butter, peanut butter, flour, and maple syrup in a bowl.
Shape into little eggs and place on a parchment-lined tray.
Freeze for 20–30 minutes.
Melt dark chocolate and coconut oil in a separate bowl.
Dip each frozen egg into the chocolate until fully coated.
Sprinkle with flaky salt and freeze again until set.
Store them in the fridge for a quick, hormone-supportive sweet fix, especially during your luteal phase when magnesium and healthy fats help calm cravings and ease PMS symptoms.
These are proof that nourishment can be indulgent, and that balance doesn’t mean deprivation. Also, if you don’t like almond butter, you can use all peanut butter (but the almond butter makes it less inflammatory, which is what we want).
With love,
Nevaeh
